Realism in Fabrics

There aren't any words to do justice to this brilliant portfolio. I've never been a fan of coffee table books, but Figures in Fabric is a gift I would recommend to everyone. The detail in Ms. Lichtenfels' work is beyond dazzling. Her Madonna brought tears to my eyes.
Truly this woman's gift came from the gods.

These are not live models. These figures are sculptures from cloth.

Dioramas in Clay

These are so cute and so creative. I don't understand Chinese, so I don't know who the artist or artists are.

Here is one of a little girl, a chef in the garden.

And there is so much more.

Elsa Mora was born and raised on the island of Cuba. She grew up in a large family headed by a single mother. She was taught that education, hard work, and discipline were needed to make one's dreams come true.

Mixing Media | Mixing Disciplines

You might be tempted to call this collage, but clearly there's more going on here than paper and glue,

Worthy

Andy Goldsworthy was born in Cheshire in 1956 and was brought up in Yorkshire. He studied at Bradford College of Art (1974-75) and Preston Polytechnic (1975-78).

His sculptures are awe-inspiring. Always a part of, and not apart from nature.

It is impossible to find photographs of all his work in one place, so I offer you pages of Google's thumbnails to select at your leisure.

And there's more, yet to read.

Beauties

Iron-rich might be a word to describe these Texas longhorns created by sculptor, Wayne Rossi.
You'll find more of his metal critters, and much more, right here!
